Petrichor — The Scent After Rain, Touched by Our Family's Mint

There are smells you never forget.

Living and driving through the fields on our family's farm in Indiana, the mint hits you before you even see it — sweet, fresh, and clean, with a sharpness so strong it's almost overwhelming. Eyes watering. It fills the air with something wild and alive.

Here's a flex — Indiana produces some of the best — and most — mint on the planet. The rich, loamy soil and the long Midwestern summers create the perfect conditions for peppermint and spearmint to thrive in a way they simply can't anywhere else. Our family has been farming this land for generations, and mint has always been part of our story.

What makes Indiana mint so special isn't just where it grows — it's how it's harvested and distilled. After cutting, the mint is steam distilled, a process where pressurized steam passes through the plant material, pulling the essential oils up and out, then cooling them back into liquid form. What you're left with is pure, concentrated mint oil — bright and clean.

We distill that mint and infuse it into our scent, Petrichor.

Petrichor. It's the word for that earthy, electric smell that rises from the ground just after rain — that moment when the earth exhales and everything feels fresh and full of possibility.

Our new fall fragrance, Petrichor is reminiscent of cold fall days full of delicious food and your favorite sweater — with just a breath of that warm, summer-grown mint from our family farm, bringing this cozy, herbal scent to life.

Straight from the farm. Made with love.

You can find Petrichor in our aromatic body oils, body butters, and farm grown perfume.
